Embracing Diversity: A Journey through Adirondack North Country Gender Alliance Events

Welcome to the vibrant world of the Adirondack North Country Gender Alliance (ANCGA) where inclusivity knows no bounds. Join us as we embark on a journey through a spectrum of events aimed at celebrating, honoring and advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Adirondack North Country region.

You can continue reading more about some of our events and browse our event calendar to learn more about special days for ANCGA and the LGBTQIA+ Community.

International Transgender Day of Visibility: March 31st marks a day of empowerment and recognition for transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals. ANCGA proudly stands in solidarity, amplifying voices and raising awareness to foster a more inclusive society.

Transgender Day of Remembrance: With solemn reverence, we come together on November 20th to honor the lives of transgender individuals lost to violence and discrimination. Through remembrance, we renew our commitment to equality and justice.

Small Town Pride in Malone: In the heart of Malone, embrace the spirit of pride as the community comes alive with color, love, and acceptance. Celebrate individuality and unity in this joyous gathering.

Tri-Lakes Pride in Saranac Lake: Experience the essence of pride magnified in the picturesque setting of Saranac Lake. Join us for a jubilant parade and festivities that embody the true spirit of inclusivity.

Adirondack North Country Pride in Plattsburgh: Plattsburgh welcomes all to revel in the grandeur of pride with a spirited parade and vibrant community events. Together, let’s paint the town with love and acceptance.

Regional Events, Community Partnerships, and Mixers: ANCGA extends its reach through collaborative efforts with tri-county community partners. Look out for our informational tables at regional events, serving as beacons of support and resources for all. We also hold LGBTQIA+ mixer events monthly in both Saranac Lake and Malone.

Adirondack North Country LGBTQIA+ Winter Pride Weekend (March 2025): Prepare to hit the slopes and bask in the warmth of inclusivity during the first-ever LGBTQIA+ Pride ski weekend. In partnership with ORDA, ROOST, and I Love NY, join us for a memorable blend of adventure, camaraderie, and pride on the snowy peaks.

State and Local Government: ANCGA has a long history of working with local and state government partners including Ron Zacchi the Director of LGBTQ Affairs in Governor Hochul’s Office.

Together, let’s weave a tapestry of acceptance, respect, and celebration across the Adirondack North Country. Join ANCGA in embracing diversity and fostering a community where everyone is valued and celebrated for who they are.
